Overview
Today PepsiCo is organized geographically: North America and International, with their domestic businesses accounting for about two-thirds of our revenue and profit base, and international for about 60% of our growth. This structure has provided the foundation for terrific operating results. However, given their robust growth in recent years, they are now re-structuring to manage the company as three units instead of two, allowing Pepsico to sustain their growth rate and also to develop global senior leadership talent for PepsiCo's future.
Therefore, PepsiCo is now organized into three operating sectors:
PepsiCo Americas Foods (PAF)
A food and snack portfolio including Frito Lay North Amnerica, Quaker, Sabritas, Gamesa, our Latin American food businesses, and our North American Power of One Retail Sales teams which will continue to work across the PepsiCo portfolio; and
PepsiCo Americas Beverages (PAB)
A beverage portfolio including Pepsi-Cola North America, Gatorade, Tropicana, all our Latin American beverage businesses, and our North America PepsiCo Food Service division which will also continue to work across the entire portfolio; and
PepsiCo International (PI)
A food, snack and beverage portfolio including our U.K., Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa businesses.
Each sector has significant scale and growth potential, operates across multiple geographies, and is comprised of both developed and developing markets;
- This facilitates their ability to leverage both capabilities and innovation between our International and North American businesses;
- With each sector being of significant scale, more executives will have the opportunity to run large operating businesses and gain global operating experience; and
- It enables them to extend the competitive advantages of our very successful Power of One initiatives by making them increasingly global.
