San Francisco, CA, September 6, 2011 — The continued US success of leading recruitment consultancy Michael Page International has seen the organization extend its US operations westward with the launch of an office in San Francisco, California. The new location will serve Michael Page’s growing client base and bridge the gap in demand for professional recruitment solutions in the Western United States. The San Francisco office marks another monumental moment in the organic expansion of the group taking the Michael Page offering closer to both candidates and clients in the Western United States, and moving Michael Page toward becoming the foremost recruitment consultancy in the United States. With a committed presence in the United States and a strong brand behind us, the new team has a real opportunity to capitalize on the Western job market. We are confident the California business will produce strong results.
The San Francisco business will continue to work within our key disciplines: Finance & Accounting, Banking & Financial Services, Legal, Human Resources, Procurement & Supply Chain, Engineering & Manufacturing, Information Technology, Sales & Marketing, Oil & Gas and Executive Search. Our breadth and depth of experience across all of these recruitment areas are well matched for the San Francisco market.
Heading Michael Page California, with an initial focus on our San Francisco office will be James Mayo, Director. James has been with Michael Page since 2004 when he started his career in Michael Page London’s Financial Services division. Most recently, James worked in Canada as the Director of Michael Page Toronto and as the deputy of the Canadian operation. Prior to Michael Page, James served for six years as an officer in the British Royal Army where he achieved the rank of Captain. He was also a top runner for his country and the British mile track and field champion. James will lead our push into the Western United States region and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of the new location.
