Added on 12/12/2007

About the company
Magnitude Capital operates a rapidly growing and highly profitable multi-billion dollar fund of hedge funds from its headquarters in New York City. Two highly-experienced financial executives out of O'Connor & Associates and D. E. Shaw & Co. launched Magnitude Capital's first fund in October 2002.
The firm takes pride in its professional approach to understanding alternative investment strategies and portfolio construction, and will be as careful in hiring as it has been in investing. Magnitude offers new employees the chance to help the firm build on its strong performance and close relationships with large institutional clients.

Job description
This firm is looking to hire a talented individual to coordinate and manage its multiple channels of written communication, including responses to RFI's and RFP's from prospective clients, general marketing presentations, and performance reporting. While multiple career paths are possible for this person, direct marketing and/or investor relations roles are the most likely eventual directions of personal growth. The new employee will:

• Develop and implement a system to streamline collection and aggregation of information on Magnitude's investment process, fund performance, aggregate client data, and portfolio metrics.
• Formalize a procedure for answering questions presented in requests for information from clients and prospects.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests for performance, holdings, and portfolio fund details and other investor relations functions.
• Prepare and update marketing presentations and the firm website.

Applicants should show superior academic performance and have at least 3 years of experience in financial analysis or marketing support, preferably in the financial industry. Strong writing skills and an obsessive attention to detail are necessary.
This firm offers a challenging opportunity for individuals whose competence and attitude drive them to excel. Compensation is flexible and will be attractive relative to industry norms.
