Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for the direction, control and coordination of all financial activities:
Develops, directs, implements, and oversees plans and programs related to accounting, finance, and compliance.
Develops and maintains the company's basic systems of accounting and financial controls and participates in major financial and contractual transactions.
Custodian of the company's financial assets and funds.
Directs the preparation of all fiscal reports, such financial statements and budgets.
Prepares, presents, and interprets major reports for the company's senior management and board of directors.
Responsible for financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations.
Who we are looking for
Education/Certification: BA degree in accounting, CPA preferred.
Experience Required: 8-10 years of senior level finance or accounting
Skills/Abilities: Expert knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to insurance company accounting, auditing and regulatory reporting and general accounting principles and practices.
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to compliance and security.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and judgment skills.
Administrative ability, initiative and resourcefulness.
Effective management skills. Effective public speaking and writing ability.
Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent PC skills.
