Job description
In this hands on and newly created role, the General Counsel - Americas will have full responsibility for leading all legal matters on behalf of the regional companies across both North & South America and will also assist the parent company in a variety of corporate initiatives.
You will be accountable for advising the business on a full range of strategic and tactical legal issues and creating, implementing and communicating essential policies & process.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
• Commercial contract drafting and negotiating
• Intellectual property protection and licensing
• M&A, joint ventures and other corporate transactions
• Data protection compliance
• Employment law
• Litigation management
• Corporate filings & compliance
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Attorney with 5+ years broad corporate law experience gained a major international law firm or multinational business.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to prioritize multiple projects and you must also be able to speak conversational Spanish (or better).
