Job description
The Sales Manager will sell electricity to large Commercial and Industrial customers in the NJ marketplace. Candidate must have excellent relationship building skills, proven track record of external sales, cold calling abilities, superior Microsoft Excel skills, and ability to handle multiple transactions at any one time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Market energy commodity and risk management services to targeted clients and prospects in the assigned area
Prepare and present effective sales proposals to new customers that will develop profitable results.
Maintain assigned levels of sales activity including new customer contacts, feasibility proposals, RFP responses, Memorandum of Understanding's, and final contracts to produce consistent results above assigned booked sales objectives.
Who we are looking for
Experience:
7-10 years experience in business development/sales within the energy field with a successful track record of profitable selling and managing relationships with business customers is preferred.
Eagerness to learn or prior knowledge of risk management techniques and the application of financial derivatives and options will enhance candidate's value
Technical experience a plus - (i.e. ability to relate energy load profiles to customer system usage.) Ability to consult customer through energy efficiency.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong industry background and focus as well as unique vision to identify new opportunities
Ability to persuasively explain multiple products to a diverse group of business customers.
Dedicated to meeting the expectations of customers; ability to get first-hand customer information and use it for improvements in products and services.
Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings; one on one, small and large groups; effective both inside and outside the organization; can change tactics midstream accordingly.
Detailed understanding of business development processes or has sufficient technical background and learning aptitude to be able to quickly master the basic components of the processes.
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form to all levels of an organization.
