Job description
A newly created opportunity has arisen to join a world leader in custom design and manufacture for small electric motors. This position will lead the HR Function Globally within the organization and report directly into the President. You will be responsible for overseeing offices in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Europe and China.
As the HR Director you will be responsible for every aspect of Human Resources. This will include, but will not be limited to:
Participating in company decision making and supporting Senior Management
Preparing budgets for HR Department and managing costs
Working in close collaboration with business managers in North America, Asia and Europe
Developing, recommending and implementing HR policies and procedures, employee benefits, preparing and maintaining employee handbook on policies and procedures
Conducting recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt employees, students and temporary employees; write and place employment advertisements
Conducting new employee orientation; monitoring career development programs, employee relation counseling, exit interviewing
Evaluating reports, decisions and results of the department in relation to established goals.
Recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services provided
Establishing and maintaining a wage and salary administration plan that will address variable compensation issues.
Who we are looking for
Prior experience in a Senior HR Role dealing with all aspects of HR
Global HR Experience essential
Experience from a small to mid-sized manufacturing firm or service industry preferred
Prior experience with organizational mergers and acquisitions
Bachelors degree in a related field is a must
At least ten years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to assess talent
Experience with diverse and variable compensation plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must
Ability to perform root-cause analysis on situations and recommend solutions
Good business and practical sense
Willingness and ability to travel Internationally on a frequent basis - at least 30% travel required
What's on offer
Base Salary $100,000 - $150,000 Dependent on Experience
