Job description
The Vice President of Delivery Channels is charged with leading and managing all personnel and delivery channels serving Carver's customers, namely: financial center, stand-alone ATM's, online and telephone banking. In this role, the executive is expected to create a dynamic, focused and disciplined sales and service culture. To be effective, the executive is required to partner with internal partners including the Lending Department to maximize sales, and the Retail Investment Services Department to deliver superior customer service. The executive will lead a department of approximately [xx] employees through direct supervision of three direct reports: Deputy for Delivery Channels; Manager of Electronic Delivery Channels (phone and internet); and Retail Training Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive, compassionate and visible leadership to customer facing and support staff, fostering a culture of trust and partnership.
• Enhance the Department's management skills, to maximize talent of the Department, promote retention and enhance career opportunities. In conjunction with these duties, the executive is responsible for effective coaching, compensation administration including salaries, bonuses and commissions, staffing and scheduling practices.
• In conjunction with the Chief Retail Officer, assess Carver's current approach to sales and service; recommend and implement changes required to create a proactive and effective sales and service culture.
• Work with Department managers and counterparts in the Lending Department to develop aggressive business plans, for each channel, to accelerate profitable growth via growth of core deposits and fee income through cross sales of deposit, lending and investment products.

Who we are looking for
Background and Experience
• 10+ years managing multiple financial centers and/or electronic delivery channels (online and/or telephone banking), in a savings or commercial banking environment. Experience in retail operations and/or product development a plus.
• High energy with a passion to succeed in an environment of high growth and the unique stresses of building and integrating individuals from disparate companies.
• Evidence of proactive leadership focused on results, with ability to make sound judgments with limited information. Proven project management, budget development and execution as well as collaborating with individuals outside the manager's span of control, to achieve sales, service and other critical goals.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience as compassionate leader, manager and coach of individual contributors and managers.
• B.A./B.S. required; MBA preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office products, Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience operating the Open Systems Inc. banking platform a plus.
• Series 6, 63, Life, and Health licenses a plus.
