This has resulted in many strategic partnerships with both local and international companies and organizations. LS Power is expanding quickly and is now looking for the Managing Tax Director.
Job description
The Managing Tax Director, will be on of the leaders in the firm's tax function and will report directly to the CFO.
• Work closely with the Vice President of Tax to assist on private equity and project finance deal teams on M&A and finance structuring, due diligence, and related tax works.
• Manage a staff of 3-4 tax profession
• Federal and state income tax compliance (over 400 returns that are filed by April 15th)
• Research and planning regarding various federal and state tax issues
• Tax projections and optimizations
• Development, training, and mentoring of tax professionals in the New Jersey office.
• Assist on complex partnership deals involving due diligence, tax issues, etc.
• Strong review experience.
• Experience managing and leading a team.
• This position must be done in the East Brunswick office.
Who we are looking for
• Over 8 years of relevant Federal and state income tax experience
• CPA preferred
• Excellent excel skills
• Energy and Real Estate experience preferred but not mandatory
• In depth knowledge and experience in tax compliance is required
• Strong experience in multi-tiered entities and partnerships and LLC's is required
• Knowledge of corporation and international tax issues
