About the company
The Investment Management Audit group provides coverage for Fidelity Management and Research Company (FMRCo), Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management Services, Fidelity Investments Canada, Pyramis, and Strategic Advisors, Inc. Some key areas of focus include trading desks, data resource management, fund accounting, transfer agent accounting and control, and cash management services. Additionally, this team coordinates with external auditors on all control-related reviews supporting the audited financial statements of the funds and other financial products.

Job description
Scope of Responsibility:

Works with senior levels of management within business groups and functions facilitating the identification and resolution of risk and control issues. Directs the work of a defined team or cross-discipline team that is project-specific and provides leadership and direction for that team. Involved with audit issues and strategies that have an impact beyond assigned business group or function and may have an enterprise-wide impact on the organization. As part of the Audit Leadership Team, works closely with Vice Presidents on addressing strategic and managerial matters for a defined segment of Audit, as well as Audit-wide matters, and provides broad leadership to the team. Recognized by peers and others for exceptional technical and leadership capabilities and potential.

• Communicates and exemplifies Audit mission/vision.
• Develops hypotheses around risks and controls.
• Identifies changes in risk and level of risk on an ongoing basis and redeploys resources accordingly.
• Identifies what needs to be changed across assigned business group or function. May impact more than one business group within the enterprise.
• Delivers results to change the business group's or function's control environment.
• Develops the integrated audit plan in conjunction with our external auditors in assigned business groups or function.
• Coordinates Audit activities to ensure that the assigned function or business groups are properly addressed, including identification of areas that are candidates for holistic audit efforts, cross-functional reviews, and integrated operations.
• Identifies and applies technology and other tools to improve the audit process and results.
• Identifies processes and/or areas for improvement and develop plan for implementing the enhancements.

Evaluate Risks and Controls

• Communicates with senior management and supports Audit VPs working with outside boards and Audit

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate:

• BS/BA and MBA preferred; accounting, finance, economics or related field of study
• Professional audit certifications preferred (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, etc.).
• Minimum of 8 years prior audit or related exp. preferably in financial services industry.
• Relevant prior leadership/management experience.
• Relevant experience in recruiting and developing audit professionals
• Substantial Audit knowledge and knowledge of diversified financial services, and/or technical specialty (such as regulatory, brokerage, technology, etc.).
• Must know how to leverage technology and operations and have a strong process orientation.
