Job description
This position will have overall responsibility for North America's bookings including strategic account sales and new business. Reporting directly to the President of the Americas, this position will be a full member of the Americas senior management team involved in making key strategic and tactical decisions and executing on the key business initiatives in place.

The senior level position will be responsible for all aspects of sales in the US, Canada and Mexico and will be a key contributor to the company's global growth. The successful candidate will combine superior sales expertise and leadership skills to raise the sales capability to the next level and achieve our goals.

The VP of North American Sales will continue to build and lead a high-performing sales team in an environment characterized by performance and professionalism. Responsibilities include achieving monthly new business and client renewal quotas, driving new business, ensuring high customer retention rates, building customer loyalty, and implementing plans for driving sales productivity and market penetration. Job responsibilities will also include hiring, training and retaining a high-performing sales team, managing quotas and compensation plans and strategic leadership as part of the management team

Who we are looking for
" Minimum 10 - 12 years sales and sales management experience with a demonstrated progression of assignments with increasing responsibility and increasing span of control
" Experience leading a large sales team with quota responsibility of $20M - $40M
" Proven record of consistent, predictable over-performance in sales and account management
" Previous responsibility for the development and implementation of strategic goals and tactical planning for a sales organization
" Ability to assess and define optimal sales organizational structure and selling approaches
" Experience hiring, training, developing and retaining a high performing sales team as well as terminating employees as needed
" Ability to implement and manage a sales compensation plan that drives desired behaviors and growth
" Ability to work in close cooperation with marketing, finance and product management to ensure successful sales and client retention
" Confidence in contributing to the senior management team by participating in planning, resource allocation and driving growth
" Ability to personally drive business as well as coach salespeople in client and prospect sales calls
" Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
" Knowledge and expertise of the fashion industry and business intelligence products desired
" Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM is desired
" Bachelor's degree with a strong GPA, an advanced degree is preferred
