Our client is one of Europe's leading providers of transportation services, The group is present across all Europe and in other countries worldwide and is seeking a Business Analyst/Corporate Controller to augment its North American division located in New York City. This is a ground floor opportunity to join the executive team.
Job description
The US Business Analyst will be responsible for the financial aspects of all post-acquisition projects and ensuring their success. The candidate will assist in investment/development decisions (due diligences, feasibility studies, modelling) and longer term strategic plans. The candidate will also take on a controller role, and manage the accuracy and completeness of the local statutory accounts and group reporting in liaison with local CFO's, and provide financial, control and technical expertise to the US CEO.
Main responsibilities:
Responsible for the financial aspects of the post-acquisition integration projects
Responsible for the financial aspects of development, in cooperation with headquarters (Coordinate due diligences processes, Prepare and assist in providing financial analysis and modelling support to evaluate new business development opportunities)
Participate in negotiation (finance, tax, legal aspects)
Review/supervise yearly statutory financial statements and local requirements (including corporate income tax filing and legal compliance) for all US subsidiaries in liaison with local CFOs and for the US subsidiary.
Review/monitor all group reporting requirements for the US (budget forecasting, supervising and preparing monthly management accounts, reviewing variances from budget/forecast...)
Who we are looking for
5 - 7 years experience, ideally coming from the TS (Transaction Services) department of a Big 4
REQUIRED: Experience with financial modeling, auditing, and cost proposal development
REQUIRED: Acquisition experience (cost, pricing, analysis)
Experience in group reporting (IFRS) to a parent company is desirable
Ability to work "hands-on" in a growing environment
