Our client is an international manufacturer of manual/motorized sunscreen shading systems. With its corporate headquarters in Queens, NY, Mechoshade employs over 500 employees in multiple plants/offices throughout the country.
A fantastic opportunity has opened up to join the Human Resources department. This is a brand new position due to growth and development. We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic professional who would thrive in a developing department in a Manufacturing environment who can develop comprehensive plans aligned with the organization's strategic goals to further develop the HR department.

Job description
As a member of the executive team and reporting to the President, this person will be a key contributor to the success of the company. The person we seek is a high-energy senior level professional capable of designing strategic initiatives that align with the organizational goals and business objectives. The person will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to all aspects of Human Resources.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Recruitment- develop a comprehensive recruiting strategy, retention and development programs, and succession planning strategies to assure MSS attracts and hires the right people to match organization's strategic/future goals.
• Talent Management- develop comprehensive training & development plans to ensure MSS has a proactive focus ensuring that employees are developed and utilized to their maximum potential; direct implementation, administration and monitoring of all training programs.
• Compensation & Benefits- develop and conduct formal compensation strategy and review, oversee efficiency of current programs and make recommendations regarding future benefits.
• Organizational Design & Development - work with Management and consulting team to further refine organizational structure in line with MSS's strategic/future goals.
• Employee Relations Strategy - through application of HR knowledge, oversee execution of employee relations activities to mitigate risk and losses due to litigation/complaints on issues such as wrongful termination claims, unemployment claims, and workers compensation claims.
• Leadership Development & Management Coaching- develop comprehensive leadership development strategy (taking succession planning into account); identify needs and develop management skills in managers, supervisors, and team leaders while assuring consistent management to all departments; assure each department is provided proactive guidance/support necessary to achieve objectives and reduce exposure to developing employee relatio

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
• 7-10 years of experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Hands on Management experience
• Tactical and Strategic Experience
• Advanced degree and PHR certification highly desired
