Job description
The core function of this analyst role is understanding client needs, configuring the platform appropriately, building analysis reports, and analyzing new requirements.

The client implementation analyst is part of a new client implementation team being put together in New York, and will work in tandem with the parent company overseas. The team is based in New York, but will frequently work on client sites around New York, and occasionally across the country.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Working with clients to model their margin and risk methodologies (50% of role)
• Performing detailed analysis of new functional requirements with clients
• Documenting functional requirements and assist in building test cases
• Performing business testing enhancements
• Training users on the data model
• Project Management and reporting of client projects

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate MUST have experience working at a hedge fund or in a bank's hedge fund services department.

Qualifications should include:
• 3-5 years experience in investment banking or hedge funds, or someone from antoher software company in the same sector
• Mastery level Excel for complex modeling, and using VBA for constructing calculation functions or similar
• Minimum 2 years of either MS SQL Server, Sybase, or Oracle
• Experience of using and/or modeling XML Schemas
• Proven experience in creating well structured specifications and working with developer teams to implement
• Expert communication skills - this role is part of a small team and will involve client facing and requirement gathering and training so good communication skills are paramount
• A self-starter
• Experience with US Reg T and Portfolio Margin is highly desirable but not mandatory
