About the company
Our client is looking to add a strategic member to their Procurement team. This is a newly created function based on the company's recent growth. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, proven performer with a genuine desire to grow their career within the procurement function.
The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors, evaluating vendor quotes and services to determine the most desired suppliers for all (EPC) projects globally. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish or Portuguese. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for activities involved with procurement of all equipment and materials required to support the Project.
Review purchase order requisitions for completeness and accuracy. Prepare and issue purchase orders.
Principle contact for all commercial and contractual matters.
Sourcing and selections of suppliers, negotiation of terms and conditions, execution of purchase orders and award of contract agreements.
Processing of changes with Vendors as directed. Provide recommendations to Management for suppliers based on service provider performance on both price and non-price factors.
Facilitates meetings with vendors. Identification, evaluation and monitoring of risks to selection of alternate Vendor proposals.
Ensure that all relevant documents, approvals, and cost center codes have been obtained prior to purchase order processing.
Who we are looking for
Bachelorís Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in purchasing equipment for large EPC projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Construction industry
Knowledge of contracts is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Bilingual in both English-Spanish or English-Portuguese Preferred
