We provide country and regional research on the US, Canada, UK, Western Europe, Japan, China, India, Latin America, Emerging Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Emerging Asia, Australia and New Zealand. We also provide overview services covering the global economy and financial markets, and have dedicated services providing research on commodities and on the property sector. Founded in 1999, we have gained an enviable reputation for original and insightful analysis and have built up a diverse and distinguished client base. Overall, more than 1,500 institutions around the world subscribe to our publications. The majority are in the financial sector, including some of the world's largest investment banks and wealth managers, as well as smaller and more specialist firms. But we also have a growing number of corporate clients from a wide range of sectors and industries, and many relationships with governments and central banks, both in advanced and emerging economies. We offer support to clients in their respective time-zones through offices in Toronto, New York, London, Singapore and Sydney. Our large team of more than 50 economists are available for personal contact via telephone and email, and also for presentations. We host regular seminars for clients in major centres in North America, Europe and Asia. In addition, we undertake bespoke projects.
* Seeking out and building new business by researching categories, identifying targets, cold-calling, and networking. * Delivering live and web-based presentations and training sessions to prospective clients. * Making outbound phone calls to generate new accounts. * Achieving and exceeding established monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals. * Developing knowledge of products through internal training
The Successful Applicant
* Proven track record of new business development working with both new and existing customers delivering demonstrable growth in a sales environment. * Organized, persistent and persuasive with the proven ability to generate his/her own leads. * Previous experience working within a similar field and an understanding of the financial world would be useful but not essential for the right candidate. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be demonstrated within a sales environment. * Fully IT literate and technically able, experience of CRM systems is an advantage but not essential. * Proven ability to develop and utilize commercial awareness providing quantifiable business benefits. * Strong team player who shows commitment to the wider organization working together and adding value to achieve success. * Graduates in their first or second sales role, looking to build a career in a fast paced sales environment. * Proven sales people who have experience of subscription sales or have a good understanding of the financial and banking sectors. * Non-Graduates with a strong sales background
