About Our Client

Our client for the Account Manager opportunity is a leading a manufacturer servicing the automotive market. This client is working with all of the major Automotive OEMs and many Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers. Over the past 9 years they have grown from $400k to $30 million in revenue and have opened manufacturing facilities in South Carolina, Detroit, and Mexico. This is a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization looking to hire due to expansion and growth.

Job Description

The Account Manager role will be selling at the plant level executing strategic sales initiatives managing a current customer base and also seeking out new business opportunities primarily with automotive OEM and Tier 1 and 2 customers. This person will work from a home office in the Detroit, MI area and travel locally to manage relationships and visit customers to uncover manufacturing needs. This person will go through an extensive training process to fully understand the product and sales process with mentoring and training along the way. We are looking for a driven and hungry sales professional who is looking to grow their professional career.

  • To increase revenue and margin level for the territory
  • Execute market and segment growth strategy
  • Conduct territory data analysis
  • Develop strong relationships with end users and executive level management within customers and potential customers
  • Identify real sales opportunities and vet customer needs and expectations
  • Work closely and develop deep professional relationships with multiple levels at customers including engineering, marketing, purchasing, and management teams
  • Develop sales strategy to expand and further penetrate existing customers and develop new potential customers and business
  • Provide information and intelligence for new products and solutions
  • Provide customer and channel relationship management

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors' degree required
  • 1-5 years of sales experience within similar markets and industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communications skills written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to travel within the Midwest region
