About Our Client

Privately held advertising agency is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to sit in the New York City office.

Job Description

* Contacts customers and sends payment reminders
* Posts payments, adjustments, and revises invoices
* Assists in coding/booking A/P invoices
* Assists with A/P month end closing
* Maintains accounting reports
* Works with Accounting Managers to prepare general ledger accounts
* Resolves billing discrepancies
* Maintains and analyzes spreadsheets and daily reports.
* Assists in reconciliation of A/P, A/R transactions.
* Prepares debit memos, adjustments, and associated paperwork for returns.

Requirements:

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Accounting Coordinator will have:


* Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
* Must be very organized and detail oriented
* Must have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
* 1 years' experience in A/P, bookkeeping, A/R, credit, collections, and general office.
* Excellent written/verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under tight time schedules and handle multiple tasks
* Working knowledge of Excel
