Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators on billing and invoice issues
  • Allocates benefits costs and reconciles internal company billing quarterly
  • Facilitates the transfer of reports and information to our contacts at each subsidiary, vendors and consultants
  • Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Investigates discrepancies and provides information in non-routine situations.
  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required Federal and State government filings and assists with compliance with regulations, such as 5500s, 720s, Summary Plan Descriptions and Summary of Benefits and Coverage
  • Assists with the designs and distributes materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment
  • Assists in ongoing analytics and administration of benefit plans
  • Assist with vendor management, implementations, policy development and ad hoc projects under supervision of members of the Benefits Department
  • Assists with the implementation of newly acquired companies
  • Coordinates conferences and meetings
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
  • Provides customer service support to internal and external customers.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Abilities or Functions:

  • Must have strong analytical capability and the ability to work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation and comfort with financial analysis
  • Must possess a demonstrated track record in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, communication and administration
  • Must have a strong H&W foundation and the willingness to learn retirement programs
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of all required government filings (e.g. 5500, 720, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, SECTION 125, Medicare, and DOL requirements, etc.)
  • Solid interpersonal skills and client service orientation with focus on high quality service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must have a sense of accountability, owning one's work and taking pride in it
  • Must have a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
