About Our Client

Our client is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that acquires, develops, owns, manages and improves shopping centers in and on the edge of urban areas and communities. They own a portfolio of retail properties totaling 14.9 million square feet in 84 properties and manages over 5 million square feet for other clients. The core market for our clients investments are concentrated on the East Coast, however it also has a presence in Puerto Rico and the West Coast.

Job Description

As the Asset Management Analyst, your remit will be to collect and analyze demographic, competition, rent, expense, sales and other data for each individual property. You will then collate this to demonstrate where improvements can be made to the value of each asset. This will involve working closely with the leasing, development, property managment and legal teams to understand each assets positioning and developement / redevelopment potential or limitations.

Upon request, you will prepare reports for senior managment for input into the strategic business plans.

This role will require the Asset Management Analyst to spend significant time in the field (primarily Metro NYC area) to understand each property and their relative markets. Therefore, you must be flexible and able to travel as required.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for this exciting new role, you MUST be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Familiarity and knowledge of owning, operating, leasing, developing / redeveloping and valuing shopping centers
  • A keen eye for detail and a naturally analytical mind
  • An ability to assimilate and analyze new information quickly and efficiently; you must be able to spot trends in multiple sources of complex information
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills
  • A self-starting attitude and ability to work under pressure / time constraints
  • Working knowledge of ARGUS software is a distinct advantage
