Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Provide support, education and training to the Relationship Managers to build risk awareness within the company



  • Maintain and monitor due diligence tasks for all vendors
  • Review vendor due diligence materials ( i.e. SSAE 16 reports, Business Continuity Plans), identify potential issues and follow up for unresolved issues
  • Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance via Dun & Bradstreet
  • Perform risk assessments for new vendors and critical vendors
  • Interpret, identify, and mitigate critical risks factors in a timely manner
  • Assist the Relationship Managers with the vendor selection process (i.e. contracts, financial reports); completion of due diligence tasks and risk assessments
  • Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to Management as required
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers, Auditors and Compliance on vendor management related topics
  • Communicate results and recommendations effectively to all levels of management
  • Research on industry/regulatory and cyber security issues
  • Up to date and continuing education of compliance related issues and value added training
  • Maintain and monitor vendor activities, Service Level Agreements and Shared Responsible Agreements
  • Ensure vendors are in compliance with the Bank's Anti-Bribery procedure where applicable
  • Work with the Accounts Payable team to identify contractual or non-contractual vendors
  • Work with the Tax team to identify foreign vendor's FATCA and withholding status
  • Actively contribute to process enhancements to increase operational efficiency
  • Perform miscellaneous duties within the Finance department

The Successful Applicant

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Graduate degree preferably in business, management, economics, finance or accounting
  • 4 years minimum experience in financial services or risk management
  • Good understanding of bank-wide risk management.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Products such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Team player but also comfortable working within limited supervision
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and planning skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet strict deadlines
