About Our Client

A real estate investment trust (REIT) company that develops, acquires and manages apartment communities throughout the US. With offices located in multiple states, this role will support both CT offices/projects as well as Long Island.

Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Residential Redevelopment will need to have an understanding of dealing with construction projects, specifically in the residential market and Capital Expenditure Projects (exterior of the building, lobbies, shared spaces - rooftop).

The job will also be working with the Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers to;

  • Manage documents
  • Organizing contracts as well as bid documents and RFI's
  • use of Excel and Microsoft Project or similar tools like Procore or Sage/Timberline
  • Pre-planning responsibilities
  • Following up with subcontractors and progress reports
  • Communication between team members and superiors

The Successful Applicant

Assistant Project Manager - Residential Redevelopment Candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • projects worked on and duties they were responsible for
  • ability to adapt to challenges
  • eagerness to take on new responsibilities
  • ability to manage documents electronically
  • availability/willingness to travel by to job sites in Long Island and Stamford/Fairfield County area

***While previous work in CapEx projects and in residential/multi-family construction is preferred, this is an entry level / associate level role. At minimum, there needs to be a background from a General Contractor or Construction Management firm.***
