About Our Client

Our client is an international financial services organization specializing in private investments on behalf of a global array of clients. Due to significant growth in recent years, a specialized division of our client are looking to recruit an outstanding Assistant Property Manager - Commercial to join the business, based in the financial hub of Westport, Connecticut.

Job Description

The Assistant Property Manager - Commercial will provide support to Management in relation to a small portfolio of small to medium sized projects whilst prioritizing, maximizing and overseeing all day to day activities, in conjunction with external parties, in order to successfully and profitably complete projects.

The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Provide support to management and/or team members as required
  • Manage operations, maintenance, administration and improvement of the property portfolio
  • Negotiate management and service contracts, determine priorities and ensure timely delivery on projects
  • Discuss financial and operational status of properties to varying levels of detail as required
  • Leverage small-medium projects from inception through to execution
  • Plan, schedule and manage redevelopment, remodeling and construction projects for commercial or residential properties
  • Solicit and analyze bids from contractors for repairs, renovation, and maintenance
  • Develop, analyze, track and revise budgets where appropriate.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication to internal and external stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Property Manager - Commercial must be an independent, logical thinker who applies efficient, coordinated planning into their day-to-day working activities. This is essential given the fast moving nature of the position and organization.

This position shall have regular interaction and exposure to key stakeholders within our client's organization therefore the ideal Assistant Property Manager - Commercial must be confident, assertive and deliberate when dealing with key individuals within an international company.

  • 3-5 years of relevant construction/property management experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills and attention to detail - able to balance multiple priorities whilst ensuring a high level of stakeholder reporting and communication
  • Degree educated with unquestionable logic, a goal orientated mentality and the utmost discretion when dealing with high net worth individuals
  • A home location (or the ability to relocate) in Connecticut and the flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as the role may require.
