A real estate investment trust (REIT) company that develops, acquires and manages apartment communities throughout the US. There are opportunities open in both the NJ office as well as the New York / Manhattan office.

Job Description

The Assistant Redevelopment Project Manager will need to have an understanding of dealing with construction projects, specifically in the residential market and Capital Expenditure Projects (exterior of the building, lobbies, shared spaces - rooftop).

The job will also be working with the Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers to;

  • Document management
  • Organizing contracts as well as bid documents and RFI's
  • use of Excel and Microsoft Project or similar tools like Procore or Sage/Timberline
  • Preplanning responsibilities
  • Following up with subcontractors and progress reports
  • Communication between team members and superiors

The Successful Applicant

While previous work in CapEx projects and in residential/multi-family construction is preferred, this is an entry level / associate level role.

Assistant Redevelopment Project Manager Candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • projects worked on and duties they were responsible for
  • ability to adapt to challenges
  • eagerness to take on new responsibilities
  • ability to manage documents electronically

  • availability to travel by to job sites (**in NJ this would mean by car**)
