About Our Client

My key client is a Multifamily Developer based in Houston, TX, founded and operated by esteemed leaders in the Construction Industry with more than 35 years' combined experience in Multifamily Developments. They are preparing to break ground on a new Student Housing project here in Houston and are looking for an Assistant Superintendent with solid Multifamily experience to join their team. This project will be the first phase of an anticipated 3 phase project. The Assistant Superintendent will be working on site with a Superintendent and Project Manager.

Job Description

General Duties and Responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent: * Establish and develop professional relationships with on-site staff, providing leadership to them * Develop a thorough understanding of each subcontract, drawings and specifications * Identify constructability issues, design deficiencies, code violations and any other issues * Communicate schedule updates to all subcontractors and vendors * Ensure that subcontractors regularly communicate and enforce their safety programs in order to meet OSHA safety standards * Review the subcontractor's daily progress of work completed and deliver progress reports * Consistently lead projects through comprehensive completion by establishing aggressive dates and schedules

The Successful Applicant

* 5-10 years' experience in Multifamily Construction, including wrap, podium or garden style buildings (Student Housing experience a plus) * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Fast learner and dependable

What's on Offer

Base salary of $60,000-70,000/year
