Job Description

  • Developing member retention strategies and programs across all classes of membership. This includes broker/dealers, banks, asset managers and associate members.
  • Assist in business development efforts through the identification and recruitment of new and existing classes of membership, including unique verticals within each member segment (e.g. independent contractors, insurance companies, start-up technology firms).
  • Establishing targeted membership communication programs - providing select information of interest custom tailored by membership category.
  • Developing unique benefit and retention programs for individual verticals within each of the membership segments (e.g. independent contractors, insurance companies, start-up technology firms, premium associate members).
  • Assist in building membership through recruitment of new members, including broker/dealers, banks and asset managers.
  • Meeting and exceeding annual membership retention and recruitment goals.
  • Fostering client relationships with key contacts of member firms, ultimately resulting in enhanced participation across the Association.
  • Planning and coordination of all member engagement visits, this includes development of briefing materials for CEO and senior management, general staff and member engagement personnel.
  • Leading special projects and analyses, key contributor to annual business.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree, 4+ years of relevant work experience and general securities industry knowledge required; MBA preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external professionals - including strong sales initiation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable systems experience - MS Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), relationship management databases and reporting tools.
  • Analytical skills combining both detailed and big-picture views - strategic thinker.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision and is comfortable making recommendations and decisions.
  • Client service focused - responsive to members.
  • Ability to use detailed information to make high-level decisions and assist in overall strategy;
  • Travel required.
