Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Innovation Exploration Support: The Associate Brand Manager GCO Innovation will support the Marketing Director and Brand Manager GCO Innovation in collecting and evaluating new product ideas. This includes activities that help manage the ideas through the Idea Hub/Innovation process for new categories and adjacencies. This will require on-line research of the latest technologies and products, creating competitive landscapes, and developing communication materials to help gain alignment on recommendations for go/no-go decisions on new ideas from Regional Marketing Managers, Industrial Design (ID), and R&D. This will also require assisting in consumer research and working with ID & R&D to coordinate activities to validate new ideas within the upstream Innovation process. It also includes helping to coordinate review/approval process meetings with category and management teams.



  • Idea Hub Support: The Associate Brand Manager GCO Innovation will work closely with the Marketing Director of Innovation to support the internal idea web-site called the Idea Hub. This includes helping to manage all Idea Hub maintenance, site updates, gamification/incentive programs, company-wide Idea Hub communications, quarterly idea contests, as well as assist in analytics and metrics supporting innovation progress.



  • Innovation Culture: The Associate Brand Manager GCO Innovation will work closely with the Marketing Director of Innovation to foster a culture of innovation that encourages change, risk taking and collaboration within the company framework. This involves helping to manage activities that provide employees with the knowledge, skills, and autonomy to continuously explore and innovate. This includes coordinating Idea Hub recognition and celebration events, coordinating educational workshops/events, trend service activities (monthly custom reports, bi-annual presentations), developing and managing a library of trade show materials and other innovation resources, as well as coordinating Innovation trade show & conference activities with the GCO team, R&D, and Industrial Design.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree required. MBA is a plus.
