Job Description

The Associate Electrical Design Engineer will have the following daily duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, modify, test and evaluate FPGA and programmable logic
  • Design circuit card assemblies to support communications and embedded processing systems
  • Perform hardware verification testing in lab environment

The Successful Applicant

The preferred candidate for the Associate Electrical Design Engineer position will have the following background and experience:

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (or equivalent) from an outstanding college and/or university
    • GPA of 3.0 or greater require



Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, C/C++, MCM, DSP, Networking protocols, Analog, Controls, or Communication Systems preferred
  • Experience with either Altera or Xilinx FPGAs and corresponding toolsets preferred
  • Experience with schematic capture, MATLAB, SPICE, digital simulation tools preferred
  • Familiarity with various computing environments (Linux/Windows/etc.) is preferred
  • Ability to develop, articulate and present technical information appropriately targeted to meet the needs of audiences at all levels of technical understanding in both written and verbal form preferred
