Job Description

* Deliver high-value delegate sales revenue in line with agreed targets & KPIs through direct selling to the market * Delegate acquisition of board directors through sales calls and targeted email outreach * In-depth and ongoing research to identify directors and new partners to reach out to and pitch * Build a solid pipeline by initiating and maintaining contact with a full variety of clients and prospects * Support the Commercial Manager in new sponsor research and acquisition * Weekly reporting to the US Commercial Manager and wider team on sales performance including conversion rates, key targets, pipeline management and agreed KPIs, highlighting any issues and suggesting solutions * Work across multiple events and projects simultaneously. The ratio of delegate acquisition to sponsorship sales will be approximately 80/20 initially, with the opportunity to take on more sponsorship sales for the right candidate in due course. * Attend conferences and other company events to boost contacts and perform other duties

The Successful Applicant

* Strong sales and negotiating skills and experience, preferably obtained in a professional B2B publishing / media environment (1-2 years minimum is desirable) * Outstanding research skills * Effective time management, with the ability to work across multiple projects * Strong attention to detail * Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at Board Director/CEO level (both verbally and in writing) * Deadline and revenue focused, great at reporting, whilst remaining conscientious and cool under pressure * Enthusiasm and drive with evidence of 'going the extra mile' * You must be fluent in English. Other languages are a plus * Good working knowledge and proficiency in CRM/Salesforce and MS Office * A bachelor's degree
