About Our Client

Our client is a subsidiary of a very large, globally-known F500 company and is looking for a candidate with sourcing experience in automotive, manufacturing, or aviation industries. Essentially, this company is a leading supplier of highly-engineered rotating equipment solutions to oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Job Description

  • Manages and facilitates vendor relationships in direct and indirect categories
  • Identifies and establishes cost and performance improvement strategies
  • Evaluates/Qualifies vendors, makes recommendations, and negotiates to ensure best cost, quality, and assurance of delivery
  • Coordinates participation of key suppliers in the manufacturing and technical design process

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-7 years strategic sourcing experience with components, highly-engineered parts, compressors, bladed products, repair services, etc.
  • Proven strategic, analytic, and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into actionable deliverables
  • Possesses superb communication and interpersonal skills (both with internal and external stakeholders)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required

What's on Offer

The compensation for the successful Buyer II will be between $55K-$80K, commensurate with candidate experience.
