Procurement Category Manager for Professional Services
12-month contract with financial services firm downtown Chicago
About Our Client
Our client is a financial services firm downtown Chicago.
This job will have the following responsibilities: * Procurement sourcing activities for the Professional Services category * Support key business initiatives such as cost savings, cost avoidance, and supplier management * Internal stakeholder relationships, supplier and project management, category planning * Oversight of 3rd party procurement from professional services providers * Facilitate internal stakeholder relationships to ensure quality of procurement services being delivered is meeting and/or exceeding stakeholder expectations * Monitor vendor market and identify opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts * Report out category status on savings and initiatives to senior level procurement leadership
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications & Requirements: * 5+ Years of experience in Procurement, or related category expertise * Prior experience collaborating and partnering with senior executives both internally and externally * Experience with legal contracts, financial analyses, and a track record of delivering cost savings * Possess excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and negotiation skills with a strong focus on customer acumen
