Job Description

  • Conduct annual CE program review/evaluation to assess overall compliance with accrediting bodies, identify improvements to CE program and policies, and to ensure the CE program supports the overall mission.
  • Work with CE Committees to ensure organizational support and activity development/review and input.
  • Manage/facilitate annual CE committee meetings and teleconferences.
  • Collaborate with accreditation partners to offer CME and nursing credits for activities.
  • Create and maintain CE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal staff training of regulatory requirements and policies for CE program.
  • Monitor, document, and ensure all educational events are developed in compliance with ACPE, IACET, and PMI guidelines.
  • Work with program committees/faculty to develop learner assessments.
  • Review and analyze learner assessment data to identify improvements and changes to future events (specifically training courses), as well as identify new content opportunities, as appropriate
  • Participate in and support activity development process. Participate on planning calls to review CE policies, discuss needs/objective for event, and communicate disclosure policy/process.
  • Determine credit for each event; assign appropriate certificate program units per event
  • Review all activity materials to ensure they include measurable objectives and appropriate accreditation statement/language.
  • Review slide presentations for fair balance and no commercialism; review for copyright and work with publishers to obtain permissions when necessary.
  • Oversee collection of disclosure information and facilitate conflict of interest (COI) review and resolution process with CE committee and accreditation partners.
  • Oversee functionality of online credit request system, My Transcript; ensure functionality and incorporate requirements of accreditation bodies.
  • Manage maintenance and update of eLearning modules.
  • Complete reaccreditation applications and annual reports.
  • Review evaluation summaries and identify improvements to be made to individual activities and CE program.
  • Analyze data from learner assessments to determine effectiveness of program and opportunity for improvements; feed this information into Content Strategy process
  • Participate in training course content review meetings to discuss strengths and weaknesses of course, review learner assessment data, and identify future course improvements.
  • Oversee CPE monitor system, and ensure data is submitted in accordance with ACPE requirements; identify and resolve CPE monitor data issues
  • Gather and analyze needs assessment data to identify improvements and new topics to be developed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree required, with major in science or related field preferred or related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with continuing education programs in pharmaceutical and healthcare-related field.
  • Mastery of ACCME and ACPE guidelines and working knowledge of IACET and PMI guidelines.
  • Must be knowledgeable in adult learning principles and educational process and design.
  • Familiar with medical terminology.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions,
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work successfully in both an independent and team environment.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and AMS Personify.
