About Our Client

This growing firm has been established for over 40 years and is continuing to grow their operations.

As the CFO, you will be a part of the team that helps facilitate their continued growth as well as ensuring each company has accurate financials for all their projects and a clear understanding of their financial position.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO of the group, you will be managing a team of 4 and be responsible for the following:

  • Financial reporting for multi-family and commercial construction projects
  • Collating financials for the group
  • Managing and reporting on each company's cash position and communicating each project's cash to the relevant Project Managers
  • Completing sales and use tax
  • Filing Federal and State tax
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts for projects, each company and the group
  • Renewing licenses annually and keeping up to date with insurances
  • Management of the general ledger
  • Reviewing the AP and AR
  • Reporting on fixed assets, including calculating depreciation's
  • Completing company billing and payroll

The Successful Applicant

Candidates applying for this exciting opportunity must have the following in order to be considered:

  • CPA license
  • Experience in project accounting for multi-family and commercial construction
  • 5 years experience as a CFO / Controller within a construction firm, some of which must be with a GC
  • Highly experienced in program / project accounting
  • Experience with S-Corporations and tax reporting
  • Previous experience in leading and developing teams
