About Our Client

This is a general contractor in Detroit who have been around for the past 20 years and recently started paving their way into bigger and better things. They want to continue their successful growth and need to revamp and develop their estimating department starting with the chief estimator role. There isn't a ceiling here from the chief role there is an opportunity to move into director/executive level roles and continue to build the business from there. An excellent group of professionals who know how to keep clients happy and employees engaged and energized.
Hard and Negotiated bidding will both be prevalent in this role. Traveling is minimal and clients will include Large Casinos, Major Airports, Extravagant Hotel Chains, and More. This is a genuine opportunity to build your own team and implement your ideas and ways of working. They want someone who has big aspirations and is intrigued by the challenges of building a department around themselves. They will give you the tools and resources and support you every step of the way. The Successful Applicant
- Motivated and charismatic are absolutely necessary characteristics
- Extensive background in both hard bid and negotiated projects for General Contractors
- Projects bid up to at least $20M ideally $80M
- Experience with bid software
- Ability to mentor and train lower level estimators
