About Our Client

Our client is a well established REIT with an operating portfolio of office & retail assets in Manhattan.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Commercial Property Manager is to direct and lead on site & 3rd party teams to maintain, enhance, and create value for the assets under management. You will work closely with senior management and all stakeholders to achieve the strategic goals for each property.

You will oversee all administrative, financial and operational management of the buildings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: budget management / invoice management, lease administration, tenant liaison, contract administration, physical inspections, tenant relations, monthly reporting and supervision of engineering, porter and security staffs.

The Commercial Property Manager will:

  • Actively manage the relationships with vendor community, tenants, and management as necessary to ensure the assets achieve maximum value.
  • Work closely with third-party service providers to ensure that assets are managed to yield optimal returns.
  • Prepare property business plans, operating and capital budgets and updating or re-forecasting same as necessary.
  • Analyze and monitor capital improvement and renovation programs, as required, for property maintenance, competitive positioning, or market re-positioning.
  • Manage day to day problem-solving and deal with building issues as they arise.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered you MUST be able to display:

  • Knowledge of MRI and Yardi Financial experience, including costs, budgets, executing contracts, service contracts, and arrears.
  • Demonstrate the ambition and drive to move to next level within the company
  • Ability to travel between buildings in order to effectively communicate.
  • Experience working with complex operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with effective oral and written skills are required.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical systems & construction management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and effective problem solving skills. Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
