Job Description

The Property Controller will be responsible for:

  • Review monthly GL close and internal/external reporting ensuring all financial reports are prepared accurately and on a timely basis
  • Ability to work independently and have the initiative to get things done in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with staff and outside professionals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with outstanding ability to execute.
  • Self starting and entrepreneurial with a professional, confident and outgoing demeanor.
  • Review property cash flow - coordinate both distributions to partners and/or capital calls issued to partners as needed
  • Review year-end CAM escalations, real estate tax escalations and other recovery calculations
  • Review construction budgets for development and tenant improvement projects and analyze actual to budget variances.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal candidate:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum 10 years experience working in real estate is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and MRI required
