Our client is a leading international brand in the tire industry, with manufacturing plants in Asia and Mexico, who is looking now to grow their presence in the United States.

The focus for now will be mainly aftermarket and commercial / heavy truck lines.

Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director in Mexico and the CEO of the Group in Asia, this person will be responsible for:

  • Actively seeking and acquiring new customers (B2B tire aftermarket / repair centers)
  • Designing and defining the start up strategy related to product introduction and sales targets for the U.S. Therefore, having a strong knowledge of the commercial tires aftermarket is mandatory
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with customers (executives) and company owners (shareholders)
  • Identify areas of marketing opportunities to increase sales, as well as defining brand positioning, communication and pricing strategies
  • Travel to different cities to present products and business opportunities
  • Prepare weekly sales plans to complete all outgoing calls required
  • Meet established sales goals
  • Evaluate and satisfy customers needs. Maintain a close follow up and post sales relationship
  • Manager the overall delivery of tires to customers. Prepare and process customers orders aligned with the regional plant production routine.
  • Assist with different activities in the country, such as attending customers, keeping track of inventory and logistics, and ensuring prompt resolution to customer concerns.
  • Manage a sales assistant who will cover all the administrative and order management and logistics related to the import of the products.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a sales professional with 10+ years of experience in commercial tires aftermarket industry.

  • Must have a bachelor degree
  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S without need to have a VISA sponsorship
  • Proactive, dynamic and result driven personality
  • Self sufficient and able to perform in a start up environment with little resources
  • Follow all the company policies and procedures in a professional manner. Must have the highest level of commitment and compliance to local rules and regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as being mature about time management, problem solving, computer and customer skills.
  • Willing to travel to different states (could be up to 90% travel in a month)
  • Letter of recommendation and references will be check during the process
  • This position would ideally be based in Houston, TX, but this person could work from home/mobile from anywhere in the U.S. There is no need to relocate to Houston.
  • Spanish will be a plus (constant communication with plant in Mexico). English is the main language spoken in the group.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced aftermarket commercial tire specialist to act as the country manager of the U.S for an international group.

This will be a hands on job as any start up, so this person might need to start as a self employed professional, then support the group to establish a local subsidiary.

The role has mobility, so there is not a need to relocate to Houston. The person must be located in the U.S.
