Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Gather and outline objectives for each open position with the hiring manager to develop an accurate job description, qualifications, required skills and salary range for the position.
  • Partner with hiring managers on interviewing practices and strategies.
  • Source candidates through a variety of methods (job fairs, employee referrals, advertisements, public organizations, internet, cold calling, and schools).
  • Coordinate the interview process and act as a liaison for all persons involved within the hiring process.
  • Interview candidates to determine skill set, fit within the organization and level of interest.
  • Review information from interviews and recommend the most appropriate candidates to the hiring manager.
  • Gather interview feedback in order to identify and select the most qualified candidates.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the candidate(s) through and after the final offer.
  • Coordinate the new hire's first day with the Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain job status in ATS system.

The Successful Applicant


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of full life-cycle recruitment experience; experience in publishing or media strongly preferred
  • Must be results-oriented and possess strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of candidates, employees and management
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team
  • General HR knowledge and understanding of common staffing metrics and functions required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with iCIMS preferred
