As a Deputy Director General (Communications, development, Marketing and Advocacy, you take the position in a period of growth and development of our organization. You join the team to drive a global strategy and implementation to increase the global awareness and to secure to unrestricted funds for today and in the future.
Linked to the CEO, you are in charge with developing and implementating NGO’s communication, marketing, development and advocacy strategy including : project management, planning, budgeting, evaluation, and coordination of events and activities. To do so, you directly supervise and manage a team based in Dakar, Paris and USA to contribute to fundraising and advocacy strategy.
With your responsibilities, you work in strong relationship with operational teams, specifically on crisis communication. You manage medias relations and take the initiative to deliver strong contents and messages to raise awareness of publics (editorial direction, social medias, conferences,…). As concern as fundraising, you create and implement key targets funding campaign for Europ, Africa and other identified markets to identify new donators. You develop digital marketing and take in charge database as well. For the advocacy, you target strong strategy for associative and institutional partners.
The Successful Applicant
You get, at least, a 5 years operational experience in marketing, communication and advocacy. You know how to manage projects in complex situations. You know West and Central Africa. Ideally, you had the opportunity to work in an NGO headquarter.
You are recognized for your ability to prioritize, decide or manage multicultural teams. You are able to innovate, propose new projects.
