Job Description

  • Assist the VP of Development and the Director of Corporate Partnerships in the overall fundraising goals for corporate sponsorships
  • Raise funds through new and existing corporate partners to support the mission and vision
  • Help build and maintain corporate prospect pipeline
  • Manage database to facilitate moves management with prospects
  • Prepare powerpoint presentations for potential funders
  • Research corporate giving potential from prospects
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing team to ensure sponsorship activation for corporates
  • Maintain existing donor relationships with Corporate staff members
  • Research and report on corporate giving trends
  • Works with Program Staff to discover areas of potential programming growth that can lead to sponsorships
  • Collaborate with other development team members who have corporate leads
  • Facilitate discovery and pitch meetings for Director of Corporate Partnerships
  • Work with the Development Team to maintain database, budgets and reports
  • Other duties, as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven track record in closing gifts
  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree Preferred)
  • 1-3 years as a Development professional
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to use creative thinking in sponsorship development
  • Must be comfortable multi-tasking and writing persuasive emails/proposals
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of donor databases
  • Preferred experience stewarding and cultivating corporate relationships
  • Strong ability to read/ manage financial documents (budgets, balance sheets, tax documents)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and willing to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines
