About Our Client

Our client for the Director of Business Development and Engineering provides sustainable energy solutions including solar, cogeneration, and hydrothermal. They were founded in 2000 and have grown to become the market leader in large scale alternative energy projects. Their approach to renewable energy technology and funding solutions, along with comprehensive service, means they are widely recognized as being best in class. These strengths have allowed the client to form strong relationships with key customers. The Director of Business Development and Engineering will work closely with the Director of Financial Services to create a funding solutions for new clients. This person will have responsibility for new business development, project management, research and design analysis.

Job Description

  • Focus on new business development within the retail space targeting customers such as Walgreens, Whole Foods, Target, Empire State Building and more for geothermal and cogeneration projects
  • Evaluate MEP designs for geothermal and cogeneration use
  • Work directly with project managers to complete projects
  • Work with varies layers of clients to understand and implement operating procedures, system malfunctions, and provide technical information
  • Work with design engineers on client's needs, problems, specifications
  • Estimate cost and submit bids and contracts for projects
  • Attend industry trade shows

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.E. preferred)
  • Must have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, specifically with geothermal and cogeneration systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite, AutoCAD, Thermodynamics
  • Ability to travel and work on contract sites
