Job Description

Job Description:

  • Report directly to the Vice President, Development & Philanthropy
  • Coordinate and lead the corporate, foundations and government grant proposal process and increase funding generated from grants
  • Contribute to finance, special events and projects as part of the development team
  • Prepare research on prospective corporate, foundation, and government funders
  • Manage tracking systems for grant submissions, reports and materials to meet funder deadlines and requirements
  • Submit supplementary materials to complete interim and final reports
  • Establish contacts with new and existing funders; hold person-to-person calls and meetings as appropriate
  • Assist with grant processing procedures
  • Maintain donor tracking systems
  • Draft periodic newsletter updates and social media posts
  • Stay abreast with grant making trends and best practices

The Successful Applicant

  • The ability to align yourself with our mission to make fitness and running accessible to everyone
  • Experience writing grants to foundations and/or corporations (government grant writing a plus)
  • The ability to grow network and create meaning full relationships
  • A strong track record of success in terms of percentage of grants awarded and overall funding
  • Must look for a supportive and dynamic environment
  • This is a high profile position within the organization so the right applicant will have excellent communication abilities, the ability to present to executives including our CEO and the desire to grow
