About Our Client

Our client is a global manufacturer of consumer goods, looking to expand their North American business. They are looking for a Director of Human Resources to build out their newly established team in the Western Suburbs. Following a strategic acquisition, our client is moving their North American headquarters to the Chicagoland area and this individual will play a key role in this strategic movement.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within each facet of the human resources function. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Recruitment- Hire sales/marketing/ operations/ shared services employees
  • Analyze organizational needs to define gaps and then plan, develop and drive organizational design and development initiatives
  • Reward Management
  • International Employee Mobility
  • Benefits Management (Health)
  • Compliance to Federal and State Laws
  • Employee Grievance Management
  • Discipline Management
  • Performance Management
  • Employee Training & Development
  • Management of HR policies and procedures, employee handbook
  • Employee Budgeting and Overhead Management
  • HR Administration-Office Management, Attendance, Security, Stationary, etc.
  • Post-merger integration action plan development and implementation



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree preferred
  • PHR Certification preferred
  • FMCG industry experience preferred
