About Our Client
The organization is a partner to government, corporate partners and community-based organizations for over 76 years serving low-income New Yorkers. It diagnoses neighborhood challenges, designs solutions to expand educational, income, and health opportunities, deploys resources and volunteers, and drives policy change guided by measured results.
Research, develop and maintain all aspects of relationship/contact management for key donors, including database management, recognition materials, oral and written communications.
Research, identify, and develop relationships with non-giving accounts and achieve assigned percent of goal for new account development.
Ensures the development and implementation of campaign strategies to meet financial resource potential.
Works with Director of Marketing and Communications on all marketing and media efforts, including material and message development.
Lead development of strategies for the annual and special campaigns to assist Executive Director and campaign volunteers.
Develop annual campaign timetable and other timetables for special campaigns.
Create motivational meetings and special events as related to resource development, including all arrangements and recruitment of support as needed (volunteers, staff, agency staff).
Supervise, coordinate and empower volunteers (and committees) to effectively and efficiently implement key strategies.
Develops and oversees budgets, work plans and realistic timetables to accomplish organizational goals.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing fields and preferably two year's of Development experience
General knowledge of marketing and fund development techniques. General knowledge of software: database, spreadsheet, word processing, desktop publishing.
Ability to assign, direct and coordinate the activities of others and monitor progress on delegated work assignments.
Proven ability and willingness to solicit major/planned gifts.
Ability to relate to individuals and groups in a manner that will inspire respect and confidence.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent relationship-building skills.
Ability to develop, implement and manage work and project plans.
Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and interpret documents, perform highly detailed work and mathematical functions
