Today we are looking for 2 Dispatchers, 2 Customer Service Agents and 2 Operations Coordinators to join the Los Angeles team based in a brand new office a few minutes away from LAX International airport.

Job Description

Dispatcher

  • Effectively coordinate the day-to-day frontline operations functions, i.e., import, exports, transportation, (both domestic and international) to ensure all shipments are efficiently processed, recovered and dispatched to meet time-critical schedules required by clients
  • Focus on operational excellence and assisting in QA matters and CAPAs when needed
  • Ensure all shift staff adhere to Safety Policy and Good House Keeping requirements through effective communication measures
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of KPIs, analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of viable solutions
  • Liaise with vendors and customers on daily basis with the aim of developing an excellent working relationship
  • The position extends to developing workable formal relationships with sub-contractors, handling facilities and overseas offices maintaining a clear communication line with other departments within the LAX office and departments (Operations, Administration, Business Development, Customer Service both in Los Angeles Branch).
  • Maintain flexible working hours
  • Attend and contribute to branch meetings when necessary






Customer Service Agent

  • To monitor all inbound and outbound shipments on daily basis to ensure that shipments are delivered within agreed time frames
  • To advise customers on daily basis of any services related issues (Customs detentions, eta flights/trucks).
  • Working with customers on daily basis with the aim of developing an excellent working relationship
  • Analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of possible service solutions
  • Advise customer latest booking times and documentation required
  • Booking shipment with use of booking system
  • Supporting other departments - Customer Relationship Management/Transport/Operations and Sales
  • Potential customer information to be given to the Sales department



Operations Coordinator

  • Dispatch drivers and agents for pickups, deliveries, drop offs and recoveries at the airport, broker, vendor or client sites
  • Ensure imports recovery and domestic transfers are made
  • Ensure that all export and domestic drops are made on time
  • Responsible for reviewing appropriate documentation, labeling and markings as included with each shipment
  • Advise Pickups and deliveries delays in a timely manner
  • Responsible for preparing the Next Flight Out shipments
  • Responsible for replenishing with proper weight of dry ice on those shipments that require dry ice, as well as those that require Gel packs for temperature chain of custody
  • Confirm pieces, weights and dimensions after each collection and enter them in Maestro
  • Any late pick up or miss flights must be brought to the Supervisor attention and e-mail CS
  • Enter PODs in Maestro
  • Responsible for scanning, packaging, labeling In-bound shipments before tendering for final destination, either domestic or international shipping
  • Answer domestic and International "internal" quotes
  • Check import and export paperwork to make sure they are complete
  • Post flight all departure to make sure shipments left on booked flight
  • Liaise with customs brokers to pre alert imports and follow up on clearance status
  • Responsible for performing other duties as required helping the Operations Team complete daily tasks

The Successful Applicant

  • High School Diploma with at least three years industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as Dispatcher, Customer Service Agent or Operations Coordinator
  • Must have work experience in 3PL, Transportation or Logistics service environment
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers
  • Extremely proficient with MS Office programs, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrates a reliable work history
