Job Description

The Engineering Operations Manager - Manufacturing will:

  • Assist plant teams with goal-setting and tracking for Continuous Improvement measures.
  • Select and apply appropriate Continuous Improvement tools aimed at improving line capacity, production line efficiency, process reliability, mean time between failure and other key measures.
  • Apply Lean / Six Sigma Tools to complete projects with annual savings.
  • Create control plans for improvement efforts such that the improvements gained are sustainable.
  • Facilitate, train and mentor effective teams to solve problems and eliminate waste.
  • Participate in all relevant aspects of plant project Vertical Start-Up initiatives and lead the Commissioning, Qualification and Verification for capital projects.
  • Develop presentations and Conduct Continuous Improvement training for all levels of manufacturing.
  • Mentor and coach teams, as well as leaders at all levels of the organization, on Continuous Improvement and Lean/Six Sigma methodology.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentoring to support the plant's Root Cause Analysis process.

The Successful Applicant

The Engineering Operations Manager - Manufacturing should possess:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • Manufacturing experience or training
  • Must have a high level leadership role
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Ability to guide a team to collectively create actionable solutions.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally and be able to manage travel in accordance with Company guidelines.
