About Our Client
My client is one of America's premier mechanical construction and facility service companies
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Produces project estimates using proscribed forms, industry recognized techniques and my clients standardized processes contained in the Construction Process Manual. 2.Obtains pricing quotes from vendors . 3.Reviews project plans and specifications for complete understanding of project scope. 4.Assists engineering function in the development of conceptual estimates. 5.Assists with project turn over to Project Management and Field. 6.Prepares final bid summary. 7.Prepares proposal letters, scope qualifications, exclusions and final pricing. 8.Monitors and maintains current technical knowledge of piping, plumbing and Sheet metal estimating and installation practices and procedures. 9.Communicates all project issues up and down the management chain in a timely manner. 10.Monitors all addenda, scope changes and bid forms to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the estimate in a timely manner.
The Successful Applicant
1 Ability to solve complex multiple faceted problems using various problem-solving techniques 2 Good written and oral communications skills and polished presentation skills 3 Able to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications 4 Some courses in basic mechanical systems and engineering concepts. 5 Proficiency with computerized estimating systems 6 Proficient in using Microsoft office suite 7 Minimum of high school degree or equivalent. 8 Normally works in an office setting, but may walk the construction work site as needed for job performance. 9 Ability to physically negotiate the hazards of a construction work site, e.g.; uneven surfaces, floor openings, heights, construction debris and poor lighting. 10 Ability to work the schedule required by job demands.
