About Our Client

Our Client is an International Non-profit organization focused on Global Youth Development, Community Development and Oral Healthcare. Based in Manhattan, and our client operated in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Job Description

The Executive Director will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of the recently developed strategic plan
  • Actively engaging and energizing the organization's volunteers, committees, alumni, partnering organizations and funders
  • Building and maintaining relationships with advisory boards and country directors; develop a strategy for the organization's relationships with political and community leaders at each site
  • Expanding US-based revenue generating and fund-raising activities to support existing program operation; Developing and overseeing the execution of donor cultivation plan
  • Strengthening the brand by deepening and refining all aspects of communication
  • Ensuring ongoing programmatic excellence and reliable execution of US-based operations (finance, administration, communications, systems)
  • Ensure effective evaluation systems to track progress and impact that can be effectively communicated to the Board, funders, and stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

Successful Executive Director Candidates will be a visionary leader and committed out the organization's mission. All Executive Director candidates should have proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience. Additionally, candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience and/or having served as a leader of a $1M+ Non-profit organization
  • Meaningful experience specifically developing strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth
  • Advanced degree (MBA preferred)
  • Significant international experience; demonstrable cultural competence to work across cultures
  • Willingness and ability to travel
