My client is a prestigious Private Equity firm that is expanding its family office advisory team. With over $10 billion in aggregate capital commitments and over 100 investments in companies across industries, this firm is a leader in the market.

Job Description

Family Office Advisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages for the clients including the preparation of net worth statements, cash flow projections, investment performance reporting, capital commitment schedules, charitable giving schedules and family gifting schedules

  • Prepare quarterly income tax projections, including the calculation of estimated tax payments and overall tax planning for clients including their family entities
  • Work closely with the Family Office Accounting and Reporting Coordinator to collect the clients' financial information in the practice's accounting, investment management and reporting system

  • Evaluate and execute complex income and estate tax planning ideas and financial transactions

  • Assist clients with real estate transactions including coordination of loans and mortgages

  • Advise clients on charitable and family gifting strategies. Assist clients in the selection of assets for gifting and coordinating transfers of those assets
  • Research tax and non-tax issues and identify appropriate solutions

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Family Office Advisor - Financial Planning & Tax opportunity would have the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a public accounting firm, family office or financial planning firm with a focus on individual taxation
  • CPA, CFP, JD, MST or related designation is required
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting. Prior experience with Archway ATWeb a plus
  • Ability to manage ad hoc projects with minimal supervision and quick turnaround
