Major PR/Advertising firm in New York City is seeking a Financial Analyst.

Job Description

  • Preparation of monthly practice area profit and loss statements
  • Month end closing process including:
  • Salary allocations and analysis
  • Regional and local cost allocations
  • Revenue analysis
  • Journal entry preparation
  • Utilization & realization analysis
  • Preparation of monthly operations report and variance analysis
  • Intercompany Reconciliation
  • Preparation of monthly account analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of parent company reporting package
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly budget updates
  • Internal administration of client contracts
  • Special projects as assigned

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Financial Analyst candidate will have:

  • 3-6 years experience
  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with P&L analysis
  • Ability to analyze reports/data and communicate information in a clear, concise manner understandable to a lay person
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • Service industry experience a plus
  • Well organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail, ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive disposition
  • Experience in public relations, advertising or large matrixed environment helpful
